Lecture Recorder App Reviews

I cant wait to use this in my environmental philosophy studies!! Until then my kids think its amazing!!

This is a good app, that works as described. Makes quailty recordings of my classes and automatically saves and names recordings. Great organization. I do however, have a few suggestions. 1) I would like to have a time elapsed display, 2) I would like to be able to pause and resume recordings without starting a new recording. 3) I would like to be able to playback the recording within the app. If you need a simple app to make recordings, this is it.

Should be able to record while the laptop is closed.

Only record in mp4 format. Useless if you need mp3 or another real sound formats.

I was in the middle of conducting an interview and the application froze, in turn causing my computer to freeze. I lost the entire interview and my computer would not work for the next hour.

I installed it but the "Start Recording" is greyed out and wont allow any recording. I visited their "support" page but there is no option given for contacting the maker for online installation support. Completely nonfunctional.

if you cant get it too work, first create a class with the "+", then go to right side of screen and click a box. Then record becomes pushable

Apparently i need to buy an external microphone, which was a waste of money because why would like have this available on a mac book?!

I used this app for the first time in my history class today while typing notes on my pro. Its simple to use. Just add a course and press start recording. It records until you stop it and then later when you want to go through the lecture again (like I did as I missed a few points) you just open up itunes and play it. Its perfect for when I get home so I can sit down and organize my notes while listening and catch a few things I didnt get before. I love that unlike certain other apps designed for college (Schoolhouse) Its not confusing to figure out. And its cheap, which makes me happy, considering the only other app I liked like it was 10 dollars. The only thing I would like added on, is to be able to pause and continue so when we get let out for a break or want to skip over unnescessary information I dont have to start a new recording. But other than that im completely satisfied.

I have tried using several other recording apps that have left much ti be desired. This recorder starts recording when you start it and it doesnt randomly stop so you miss half of what youre recording. Its great to know you can start recording and take notes on a word processor or a=good ol fashion paper and make sure you dont miss a thing in class. Its also great to have class discussions recorded which I had never thought to take notes on.

does exactly what it is supposed to do… great supplement to my notes since my microsoft office keeps freezing!!!

The application crashed after 2 recordings for no reason at all you can not recover the lectures and the whole format of the application is bad. DO NOT GET

Ive recorded lectures with great sound quality. This is the most accessible recording app that I have found with Voiceover.

worked for a long time, but now it crashes and wont open. it also wont let you choose where the files are saved

Waste of money. Installed it and it doesnt work. Bought it because I was in a rush to download a recorder app, but regret it now.

I like this app and it works nicely for me. The only thing I can see that would improve it would be a pause button. I typically use this app to record lectures and sometimes the instructor takes a break from talking, and if I want to not record these blank spaces, I have to stop recording and then resume with a new recording, which creates a subsequent file. I think this is kind of stupid. It would be so much nicer if I could just pause during these gaps rather than have to start a whole new file.

i wouldnt update just yet because they got rid of a lot of features such as "Show in Finder" so I can rename the recording to the topic of the lecture, it no longer automatically imports to itunes either. still the same functionality, but i would recommend to not update, and thats why im giving it a bad rating.

The only reason I used this app was because it sent my recordings straight to iTunes, it was great and really convenient. With the new update it no longer does this. Now I cant even find the audio files in my computer so I can manually send the recordings to itunes.

The latest update really makes this the best recorder to use for school. I like the option to speed up the recordings very useful. The interface is simple and easy to use.
