good app but the delete button sends the unwanted mp3s to somewhere else on the hard drive other than the trash. I think it goes to the backups data using up valuable storage. Now i’m wondering if those lost mp3s really get deleted or stored on the hard drive to get downloaded through the internet whenever I connect online. Can’t trust anything these days. Fix that delete button!!!!!

So the app itself is great, voice recording is loud and clear and you can even categorize everything. The price is just right especially since its simple to use. The problem is when I delete a file by clicking "move to trash" it doesnt actually put it in the trash. So if its not in the trash and its not in its original folder where did the file go? I believe there is a chance it gets stored somewhere else in my harddrive which is not cool since I dont have a huge harddrive and a compliation of lectures can take up A LOT of space. They should get this part fixed, but everything else is great and its worth the $0.99.

I‘m a valedictorian and need to give a lecture. This tool helped me to check my pronunciation and intonation. Thank you~

the developer needs to put more work in UI, which definitely can use more polishing, especially the playback area. Buttons there even have square borders when being clicked! There is another issue that the “Voice Activated Recording” feature does not work. I don’t know about you guys, but it doesn’t work on mine mac. I’m sorry.

Ive been using this to record college lectures presented in a larger lecture hall. There can be quite a bit of background noise but over all quality is good. I dont like that when you delete something it doesnt go to the trash can. WHERE DOES IT GO??? I dont like the idea of stuff hanging out in my computer somewhere. For 99cents it was worth the download.

It isn’t listed as a feature, and perhaps I should have checked, but there is no option to change the input. If it is important to have a second mic, or a headphone mic, provide the audio, you won’t get that with this app. Disappointing, because my mac doesn’t have a built in mic, so I can’t use the app at all. I also noticed the same delete bug other reviewers mentioned, that would seem to be a problem for those who use the app more often. The sample audio file I made didn’t delete to my recycle bin, I don’t know where it is put.

I like this because when I record anything using this app, and am able to send it directly to my iTunes. So as a poet, and a new convert i want to hear what things sound like and I can record off of anything and have it to hear on my hand held device, and you know that it is an apple right. I like the app it does what it needs to do.

Really helpful for students! I dont miss a thing that our instructor says during my classes.

Love the simplicity of the app. It does everything described as in a single interface which makes it outstanding.

I like this app but I don’t like how you can’t pause it and go back to the spot you left off listening to.

I just downloaded this program for some simple voice recordings. It is much easier to use than Garage Band for simple recordings and the files appear to be smaller. Seems to be a perfect solution to my needs. For those who are worried about move to trash not working, don’t worry unless you want to eventually recover the file. I did a little checking and it appears that the audio file is buried deep in a sub-directory in the user home directory. When one clicks “move to trash” the file is apparently completely removed from the computer.

It’s an ok program for JUST making recordings, however it isn’t always reliable. You can get much better for free though. It has no editing, controls aren’t very intuitive, there aren’t very many options at all, and sometimes it just doesn’t want to save your recordings. I just went to hit “stop recording” after the most important lecture of my class and the recording length is 0.00. So, use at your own risk.

I was using this for 2 months. It worked terrific to record my lectures and everything was wonderful. Then without warning, problems. I was sitting in class as usual and noticed that it suddenly recorded a 3 hr lecture in 5 minutes. It picked up maybe a syllable every 30 seconds. I have tried everything to no avail. All emails to support have gone unanswered. Very disappointed.

It’s really annoying to lose your place everytime im re-listening to a lecture on the app. When I hit pause, it starts from baseline. Its annoying. Changing the name of the files and organizing them is not easy either. Its simple and does do the job and for $1, you get what you pay for.

I have several lectures recorded on it and then all of a a sudden it was “damaged” and I had to delete and reinstall the whole program, I was so mad. Thankfully all my recordings were still there but it’ll probably happen again and I don’t know if next they will stay there. Other than that it’s a great app and I love it. Perfect for recording lectures.

I needed a simple app to narrate some training and this works great. It is super easy, quality is good, and does the job. It is inexpensive, and for the money you can’t beat it. It is self explanatory, zero learning curve.

As a professor who utilizes web based student support I LOVE this program. It is easy to use and has outperformed all of my expectations.
